The Wrath of Israel
The seeds of Ishmael, and of Isaac, fondly sown,
tended in the fields of time,
Now cut down, by the wrath of man, long before they
reached their prime.
Gods’ little children, trapped within the flames of
fury, in the mindless rage,
Innocent little infants, civilians caught under the
arc, of the iron domed cage.
The Holy Scriptures, overlooked for war, the ancient
manuscripts, cast aside,
It is Hell on Earth, in the Holy Land, where the seeds
of hate, will not be denied.
On Sacred Ground, revenge brought, by men of madness,
bred in both camps,
Descending into darkness, the light of God faint, as
they blow out all the lamps.
Hostages, and human shields, the innocent who perish,
all flesh of Abrahams,
As blood is let, the desecration of life, by wicked
men, harvesting the lambs.
The malignant tumor, festering for too long, all
reverence has turned to pus,
Hateful slogans chanted, as dejected scum rises, in
the words of rage, they cuss.
Is this the promised land? Where lethal bombs blast,
and the angry shells shrill,
As more people die, in the land of Cannan, where
sayeth, “Thou shalt not kill!”
The all-seeing eye, focused on Gaza, zealously seeking
Hamas, hiding within,
Below, in the network of tunnels, mindlessly planning,
and plotting, each sin.
Disputed land of the fathers, wherein the sacred
garden of Eden, should be,
People living under oppression, instead of harmony,
River of Blood to the Sea!
A steady stream of arms, adding to the tempest,
furnishing the turbulent flow,
False information, fueling the fires, poor refugees of
war, with nowhere to go.
The plough shears, rust in the field of love, the
pruninghooks, lost in the trees,
Water of the Spirit, in short supply, Jacobs well runs
dry, famine and disease.
The Samaritans long gone, songs of praise seldom
heard, the Savior forgotten.
“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace,
goodwill toward men!”
Grace and forgiveness, a thing of the past, and
compassion turned to dust,
They have forgotten, the God that they serve, in the
settlements of distrust.
